Women in Racing will host its annual mentoring event at The AllBright in Mayfair on Tuesday, July 9.
The event will provide those attending with mentoring advice followed by a panel discussion with Suzanne Homewood (Samsung’s Enterprise Sales Director), Dena Arstall (founder of Ad Libitum), Lynn Tomkins (Skills 4 UK Ltd Chair) and Annie Lee (a development coach and facilitator at Annie Lee Associates Ltd).
The day will also include an introduction from Rose Grissell, the British Horseracing Authority’s Head of Diversity and Inclusion.
Women in Racing (WiR) is a network that supports women involved in horseracing, with its mentoring scheme providing a valuable free benefit to members. Currently there are 33 WiR mentoring partnerships, with four new mentors joining this year.
The mentoring programme has provided members across all areas of horseracing with tailored support, encouragement, guidance and contacts to help skilled and hard-working women to develop and progress in their career within the sport.
Women in Racing is also encouraging new mentors and mentees to join its mentoring programme.
Lauren Dobson, Women in Racing’s committee member responsible for the mentoring programme, said: “We are delighted that so many members are able to benefit from our mentoring programme, which is the only one available in British horseracing.
“Last year’s event was a sell out and we hope this year’s will prove just as popular given our exciting new panel and excellent panel.”
Tickets to the mentoring event can be booked via www.womeninracing.co.uk/events/. Members: £35 and Non-Members: £55.
