Seven-time Group 1 heroine Magical is one of five horses entered by trainer Aidan O’Brien for this year’s Hong Kong Cup, which will take place on December 13.

The master of Ballydoyle also has Mogul, Armory, Magic Wand and Peaceful engaged at the early entry stage while compatriot Dermot Weld has entered this month’s impressive Prix de l’Opera winner Tarnawa.

Champions Day winners The Revenant and Addeybb are also among the entries along with the John Gosden-trained pair Lord North and Mehdaayih. Japan’s superstar filly Almond Eye could also feature.

Magical and Tarnawa are also entered in the Hong Kong Vase along with last year’s Derby winner Anthony Van Dyck and this year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe runner-up In Swoop.

The Hong Kong Mile could feature three-time Prix de la Foret winner One Master as well as the O’Brien-trained Circus Maximus and Lope Y Fernandez. If the trio do contest the event, they will face the strong challenge from local contenders Golden Sixty and Beauty Generation.

In the Hong Kong Sprint, the British charge is currently headed by the Roger Teal entrant Oxted, winner of the July Cup. Champions Sprint Stakes winner Glen Shiel and Equilateral, second to Battaash in the King’s Stand Stakes, are also entered.
