Racing fans have received a boost with the news that ITV Racing will show eight races from the upcoming Dublin Racing Festival on February 6-7.

On the Saturday, ITV Racing will show the Irish Champion Hurdle and the Dublin Chase alongside its broadcast of action from Sandown, Musselburgh and Wetherby.

The following day, viewers on ITV 4 will be treated to the Irish Gold Cup as well as three other Grade 2 contests from Leopardstown including the Flogas Novice Chase, Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle and the Tattersalls Ireland Spring Juvenile Hurdle.

Vicki Donlon, Marketing, Sponsorship and Events Manager, said: “It’s a great boost to the Dublin Racing Festival and I think ITV extends its coverage of the meeting shows the quality of racing on offer at the festival.

“Our sponsors have been very supportive of us and it’s nice for them to have races showcased on the channel. Anything that increases the exposure of Irish racing is obviously a good thing.”
