This year’s Goffs Autumn Yearling Sale will be held as a live online auction, beginning a two-day run on November 17-18.

The catalogue for the auction is available online, including some supplementary entries, and all lots will be sold with a pre-sale clinical veterinary cert and may be subject to a clinical veterinary exam and wind test subsequent to being purchased.

Goffs has stressed that prospective buyers must register online at least 48 hours before the sale to allow sufficient time for registrations to be processed. Registrations will open on GoffsOnline.com on Monday.

Henry Beeby, Goffs Group Chief Executive, said: “We were greatly encouraged by the level of online trade at the Autumn HIT Sale with 944 bids placed online and 56 horses selling through the Goffs Online platform and a further six by telephone bidding.

“Whilst none of this is ideal, it is a solution to the current Covid-19 restrictions in Ireland and we are grateful for the positive reaction of vendors and buyers alike who embraced the concept with huge enthusiasm.

“The Autumn Yearling Sale offers buyers serious bang for their buck, with just two examples from last year’s sale being the Group winners Laws Of Indices and Elysium who were bought for €8,000 and €15,000 respectively, and this year’s catalogue features plenty more quality and value.”
