Goffs has confirmed that its new London Sale, to be held on Monday, June 16, the evening before the start of Royal Ascot, will be held at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.

Breeze-up horses will be offered alongside a selection of well-credentialed horses in training, some of which will hold an entry at the Royal meeting.

“The Orangery at Kensington Palace is one of the most beautiful venues in London and the timing on the eve of the world’s most prestigious race meeting should ensure that Royal Ascot week 2014 begins in some style,” said Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby.

“Our focus will be on a small but select group of top class horses that reflect the quality of the racing that week. This is one of the most exciting recent additions to the global sales calendar and will be promoted extensively around the world by the Goffs team.”

Breezing will take place during the weekend prior to the sale on Kempton’s Polytrack at course – previously the venue for Goffs’ annual March breeze-up sale, which is not being held this year.

All horses will be stabled at Kempton and available for inspection on Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. During the auction there will be a live audio and visual link between the two venues with spotters also located at Kempton to take bids.
