Goffs’ London Sale, which takes place on Monday, June 16, added yet another element to its extraordinary line-up on Thursday with the announcement that the Rainbow Quest mare Crystal Gaze would be sold in foal to Frankel with her current Frankel colt foal by her side.

The 13-year-old mare, who is already the dam of Group 2 winner Spirit Quartz and Caspian Prince, winner of the Investec Dash on Derby day, is being consigned by Tweenhills Farm and Stud on behalf of Qatar Bloodstock.

In addition to offering the first offspring of Frankel to be sold at public auction anywhere in the world, the eclectic London Sale catalogue also contains 20 horses in training holding entries for Royal Ascot plus a lifetime breeding right to Invincible Spirit and more than 30 breeze-up horses.

Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said: “The Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO is exciting for so many reasons and this world first is yet another. We are indebted to Qatar Bloodstock for offering this spectacular package on Monday and it should prove a fitting finale to an already sensational catalogue.”
