At the recent TBA seminar, John Warren told delegates of the importance of understanding stallion statistics when buying yearlings and the team at Darley has made that much easier for those interested in the offspring of their stallions at the forthcoming sales with the launch of a buyers’ guide.
Available via the Darley website or as an app for iPads and smart phones, the guide, which will be updated through the season, features a section on all 18 European-based Darley sires with yearlings for sale. They include Alexandros and Vale Of York, both of whom will have first-crop yearlings offered in 2013, with Haras du Logis resident Alexandros being represented as soon as next Tuesday at Arqana’s V2 Sale in Deauville.
Details on the stallions include pedigree pages, best progeny, race videos and statistics, while they each also have a ‘consignor card’, which vendors can print out for use at the sales grounds.
