The Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle and Grade 2 Cotswold Chase will be run at Wetherby and Sandown respectively on Saturday after Cheltenham had to abandon its meeting last weekend.

Entries for both rescheduled races will close at noon on Tuesday before declarations are taken at the 48-hour stage on Thursday along with the rest of the Sandown and Wetherby cards.

In an update, the British Horseracing Authority said: “In agreeing the above rescheduling, the BHA took time to consider all options and is grateful to all of those affected for their patience.

“This conclusion follows discussions with relevant racecourses, and also took into account other factors such as the uncertain weather outlook.”
