Horses gain access to the sales ring from a central point

With Normandy’s glorious coastal town of Deauville as a backdrop, Arqana’s auction house is already the most attractive venue on the circuit, but now the Elie de Brignac complex has undergone a significant facelift, which was unveiled on Saturday.

From a participants’ perspective, the most significant change is where horses will enter and exit the sales ring. Instead of having to leave the parade ring to cross the stable yard and enter from the side, lots for sale will now make use of a central chute coming directly from the parade ring outside.

The new restaurant at Arqana

The vividly-coloured seating in the auditorium and stylishly-designed bars and restaurants are bound to be put to good use during the company’s flagship event, the August Yearling Sale, which gets underway on Monday, August 22 at 5pm and signals the start of the hectic yearling sales season in Europe.
