Killeen Glebe, producer of National Hunt store horses since 2015, has launched its new brand and website.

The County Meath farm is owned by Irish businessman and racehorse owner Chris Jones, who will watch his nine-year-old Ordinary World contest today’s Grade 1 Boylesports Champion Chase at Punchestown.

Killeen Glebe, situated on prime limestone land just a stone’s throw from Killeen Castle, has been established as a commercial operation away from Jones’ racing interests. The farm produces a select number of three-year-olds each year, who are consigned at the major Irish store sales by Limekiln Stud.

The stock are sourced as foals in tandem with top bloodstock agents Margaret O’Toole and Kevin Ross before being raised and prepped on the premises under the watchful eye of farm manager Gearoid O’Loughlin.

Killeen Glebe will offer six stores at Goffs and Tattersalls Ireland in 2019, each bidding to continue the farm’s 100% strike rate in the sales ring. The farm’s first draft in 2015 included the exciting point-to-point maiden winner Caracara Mail while in 2016, Newtown Boy sold for €100,000 and went on to win his first start over hurdles for trainer Alan King and owners Paul and Clare Rooney.

Commenting on the launch of the Killeen Glebe brand and website, Chris Jones said: “I am proud to promote the quality store horses that will be offered from Killeen Glebe in the coming months and in years to come.

“I thoroughly enjoy watching our graduates succeed on the racetrack and it is my hope that the best is yet to come.”
