Those planning to attend QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot next month will have to act fast if they want to secure tickets to Britain’s richest raceday.

Tickets for the King Edward VII Enclosure have sold out with tickets only available in the Queen Anne Enclosure and the Wining Post Enclosure.

QIPCO British Champions Day, on Saturday, October 19 features four Group 1 races, a Group 2 and Europe’s richest handicap.

Oisin Murphy looks set to be crowned champion jockey and would become the youngest to claim the title since Ryan Moore in 2006.

Among the cast of horses set to grace the Berkshire track are outstanding stayer Stradivarius, recent Prix Vermeille heroine Star Catcher and Irish Champion Stakes winner Magical.

Having taken the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot in June, Martyn Meade’s sprinter Advertise will return for the QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes, while Lord Glitters looks set to run in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes.

As well as the racing, QIPCO British Champions Day will also have plenty of entertainment on offer for racegoers including the Race A Champion Grand Final, the challenge where members of the public take on a horse in a ten-metre sprint.

Over the course of 2019, each QIPCO British Champions Series raceday has seen the competition take place and the winners will meet each other in the final on Champions Day. The winner will receive two season tickets to attend all QIPCO British Champions Series racedays in 2020 as well as a share in a racehorse for a year.

After racing, the official after-party will be headlined by multi award-winning artists Basement Jaxx.
