The victory of King Power Racing’s Chil Chil in the final race at Kempton last night gave Oisin Murphy a double on the card and moved him a further winner ahead of Danny Tudhope in the race to become champion jockey.
Tudhope rode a single winner at Catterick and takes two rides at Carlisle today while Murphy heads to Ffos Las for six mounts, all of which are currently trading at under 4-1.
Murphy leads Tudhope by 19 winners in the jockeys’ standings, with the currently injured Silvestre de Sousa occupying third place.

Chelmsford stages an interesting conditions stakes for two-year-olds at 3pm. Godolphin’s newcomer State Crown, a son of New Approach and a half-brother to Meydan Group 1 scorer Blair House, attempts to make the most of the weight concession from three previous winners.
Tipperary’s evening meeting features the Group 3 Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes. Twelve runners go to post for the seven and a half furlong contest including Skitter Scatter, a Group 1 winner at two last seen finishing unplaced in the 1,000 Guineas in May.
The Listed Abergwaun Stakes sees British raiders Gold Filligree and Deia Glory, representing trainers Richard Hughes and Michael Dods, take on ten rivals in the five-furlong prize.
There are two twilight jumping meetings at Fontwell and Sedgefield while they also race over obstacles at Bellewstown in Ireland.
Claiborne stallion on the move
Trappe Shot, a 12-year-old son of Tapit who has stood at Claiborne Farm since 2012, is relocating to Atman Stud in Turkey.
He enjoyed his biggest win in the Grade 2 True North Handicap Stakes, a six-furlong dirt contest, and is the sire of Grade 2-winning mare Hotshot Anna.
