Huntingdon will stage its first meeting of 2020 today with the Listed Pertemps Lady Protectress Mares’ Chase (2m4f) the feature event on the card.
A field of five will go to post with the winner set to take home a prize pot of £42,713.
Dan and Harry Skelton team up with Marie Banrigh, who is bidding to secure valuable black type for the first time in her career. She was last seen winning a novices’ handicap chase by an impressive 13 lengths at Doncaster last month.
Doncaster race over jumps today while there are all-weather meetings at Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Dundalk (Ireland).
Chloe Pitts joins Tattersalls
Having graduated from the Godolphin Flying Start programme, Tattersalls has announced that Chloe Pitts has taken up the role of Marketing Executive at the company.
Pitts, who began her new role on Monday, graduated with a history degree from King’s College London, and completed both the BHA Graduate Programme and the Irish National Stud Thoroughbred Breeding Course.
She has also spent time at the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and New England Stud.
Tattersalls Marketing Director Jimmy George said: “We are delighted to welcome Chloe to Tattersalls and to the marketing department. Chloe brings with her a wealth of knowledge and will be a major asset to the team.”
Pitts said: “I am delighted to be joining Tattersalls in the role of Marketing Executive.
“Tattersalls draws vendors and purchasers from all over the world and I’m looking forward to developing relations in as many markets as possible.”
First foal for Harry Angel
The first foal for sprinter Harry Angel was born at Brightwalton Stud on Wednesday.
Out of the winning Siyouni mare Karijini, the new arrival is a filly. Stud Manager Sean Keane said: “She’s a very nice foal and very strong for a maiden mare.
“She’s well put together, short-coupled and with good body and shoulder. I’m very happy with her.”
