Today’s racing
Exeter and Leicester’s jumps cards will both have to pass an inspection at 8am this morning if racing is to go ahead.
Both issued an update on Monday that their tracks were frozen in places after temperatures below freezing were recorded from Sunday evening onwards.
If given the go ahead, Exeter’s meeting will feature another of the popular Racehorse Owners Association’s Racedays, with the organisation sponsoring all the races on the card.
Having staged a jumps fixture on Monday, Newcastle are back racing again today but this time on the all-weather.
Goffs UK January Sale gets underway
Goffs UK gets its 2020 sales season underway today with the first day of the January Sale, which begins at 11am.
Today’s session will see National Hunt mares and foals offered through the ring including the Listed-winning mare Chica Buena and a Sholokhov colt out of a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Blaklion.
