In a further tweak to the yearling sales calendar, the Arqana Select Yearling Sale will now begin on Wednesday 9 September to avoid a clash with the Tattersalls Ascot Yearling Sale in Newmarket on 8 September.
The Deauville-based auction will run through to Friday 11 September.
Arqana CEO Eric Hoyeau explained: ”With so many constraints coming into play and such a restricted time period to stage all American and European yearling sales, it is virtually impossible to please everyone and sales clashes are almost inevitable. However, Arqana and Tattersalls have agreed that cooperation is paramount amid the current crisis and that we should do our utmost to make attendance at our sales compatible for vendors and buyers alike.”
